NNZ study: potato packaging

Movement up the potato pyramid through expanded offerings, improved quality, and better packaging can add vlaue to the potato catefory. Multiple packagin options are avialable to satisfy future consumer trends.

A case was presented illustrating a potential benefit of using light protective films to suppress light induced formation of chlorophyll and glycoalkaloid.Opportunity for retailer and packaging suppliers from functional pacakging allows for preservations of the product contents, hence minimizing food and packaging waste.
